Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua will fight on Dec. 11 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, it has been confirmed.
After more than a decade of back-and-forths and fights between the pair falling through, the two British heavyweights will finally meet in the ring later this year.
Joshua and Fury signed separate deals with Saudi Arabian boxing powerbroker Turki Alalshikh earlier this year before they both came through tune-up fights in June.
Now, the two best British heavyweights of their generation will battle it out in the ring. Joshua and Fury no longer hold versions of the world heavyweight championship.
Joshua formerly held the IBF, WBA and WBO belts while Fury was the WBC champion. But Oleksandr Usyk sensationally beat both men twice to become the undisputed champion -- the belts have since fragmented after he vacated them.
Joshua will be 37-years-old when he steps in the ring with Fury, 38, so both heavyweights are past their best.
But the fight will still cause considerable intrigue as the long-time rivals battle to determine Britain's top heavyweight of their era.
